The Wild West in Naples
When fashion and western film unite to explore the city of Naples. Carmine Roman, an Italian photographer, together with stylist Damiano Riccio had an intriguing idea to take an iconic character of the cowboy out of its usual context The Wild West and place him in the sunny Naples. The new aesthetic is created.
The cowboy lays his choice of wardrobe on high fashion pieces and young edgy brands in a mix with vintage elements. Naples welcomes the new and distinct alien to the city streets and sings in unison with the Texan cowboy walking by the busy shops, markets and a marina.
What gear do you prefer using on the set? What is your favorite camera?
On the set when shooting, I always choose to use my usual cameras: a digital camera, and an analog.
Considering that I love to shoot on film — my 35mm cannot be forgotten!
How do you choose a model that will be unique for your shooting?
I choose a model based on the project that I have in mind. So, the team and I, we compare the models and pick the best suitable. In short, it is the project that calls the model!
In which locations did you shoot? Did you find those before the shoot take place or by chance during the shooting day?
"As for the location we decided on it in advance, to put the project alive. So, basically, I already had it in my mind. But I won't hide that there were some unexpected program changes and while on our way to the next location we found an additional one".
Why the cowboy style, what is special for you about it?
